Ormankoy Community Centre

To establish an intersection between Ormankoy Community Centre and the surrounded natural park which is approx. 60.000 sqm, 2 biological ponds in size of total 4000 sqm had been incorporated to project area. Along the design process, it's aimed to form a clean and sleek geometry; a unique – iconic – lasting impact. Surrounded by the natural park, functional gains had met with the requirements by the advantage of having large foot area under the 2 gable roofs lowering to ground level.

Unasur

The design is a massive piece that rises and is projected as a metaphor of freedom. Unasur has been designed as a sculptural connotation to surprise and show a different perspective depending on the point of view. The structure results in a positive, proactive and strong iconic image system. The scheme is also the largest armor cantilever in South America with 56 meters without support, according to several studies; modeling technology, drive and creativity. The minimalism of the elements on the exterior highlights the volume, as well as the smoothness of its architecture.

ShuiFa Info Town

Shuifa's four "stones" arrangement design is inspired by Wang Wei's verse of “Rain passes in the pristine mountain, refreshing autumn evening. Moon shines among the pine, clear spring flows on stones”. The main structure is assembled out of white perforated panels, the density of the perforation of the plate gradually changes from top to bottom according to the function of the building interior. More transparency is given to display area, and less for office space. In general, this subtle gradual change in transparancy creates a pure cultural motifs.

White Mountain

This is a community clubhouse that shows the future life of the community. The designer, inspired by the shape of the rolling hills, creates the surficial landscape which extends down to the visual surface of the building. In this way, the building's perception of solidity will be weakened to fully integrate into the urban space. It also reduces the interference of the building to the urban environment and maintains the continuity of the urban landscape space.

Venous Materials

Venous Materials project envisions a new way to design dynamic tangible interactions using fluidic Interfaces. It is a new type of interactive material that is inspired by veins systems in nature and throughout the human body. When the user applies pressure or motion to the material, it dynamically displays geometric patterns and colors. The different patterns are displays that function as tangible sensors, to animate dynamic graphics, to create responsive objects for learning activities, and to visualize body movement and balance.
