Sawamura Award 2024 Key Visual

Sawamura Award 2024

Sawamura Award 2024 is a key visual created for a company event for new employees, held at a traditional Kabuki theatre in Kyoto, Japan. The theme of the event was tradition and innovation. The letters of the word KABUKU were drawn with varied typography, so each letter works as both a letter and an illustration. Traditional Japanese colours and patterns taken from the theatre were combined with a fresh colour scheme. The key visual was applied to certificates, invitations shaped like show tickets, seals and publicity, giving the event a unified look.

Spiderweb Key Visual

Spiderweb

The main idea was to create something that brings all the attention to the product, using less elements as possible and creating some connection with the target public at the same time. 2020 WIDC

2020 WIDC is the key visual created for the World Industrial Design Conference 2020. The three primary colours, red, green and blue, are used as the main colours. Many small I shapes merge and flow into the distance like a stream of particles. The composition extends outward from the central WIDC mark to suggest movement towards the future. The key visual measures 20 metres in width and 8 metres in height.

The Sound of Poetry Key Visual

The Sound of Poetry

The Sound of Poetry is a key visual designed for a campaign with two parts: a poetry theater exploring voice and a workshop series on science fiction and the universe. The key visual takes the form of audio tracks, as seen on computer screens. Natural elements such as flames, leaves and corals are distorted into wave shapes, creating an exotic and surreal effect. The horizontal arrangement echoes the way lines of text are set in a poem. The folding poster is printed on fibrous paper, matted on one side to hold a deep black background, with the title in silver ink.
