East China Grand Canyon Visitor Center

East China Grand Canyon Visitor Center is a multifunctional building in Taishun County, Wenzhou, China. The S-shaped form connects a folk culture center, a tourism reception center, an exhibition hall, a digital nomad office and a hotel. Villa A

The villa overlooks a great view of the Pacific Ocean, not far from the town of Hayama, the birthplace of Japan's yachting culture. The villa's design is a sculptural form that is appropriate for this spectacular natural setting, with a vaulted roof and a series of arches that symbolize the image of the white, rippling sea. The curved arches of the CLT (cross-laminated timber) roof give a sense of spaciousness to the interior. The result is a villa that perfectly suits a laid-back lifestyle and provides a deep connection to the blue waters at its doorstep.

Ondsauna

Ondsauna is a sauna building placed within a forest. Vertical exterior walls are clustered around the sauna room, echoing the upward growth of trees. A spiraling path leads to a rooftop relaxation space. The entrance sits 250 millimeters above ground level, the cold plunge deck at 1000 millimeters and the rooftop at 3250 millimeters, so the movement from sauna to cold plunge to open air is vertical. An irregular polygonal plan and obtuse-angled benches guide sightlines and let visitors choose their level of interaction.
