Involve Factory and Office

Involve

Involve is a factory and office building located in Nisshin, Aichi, Japan. The plan follows an equiangular spiral, also called a logarithmic spiral. The spiral layout guides workers along curved paths, so contact between colleagues happens often. The frequent contact is intended to improve quality and productivity. The spiral geometry also allows columns, beams and cross bracing to repeat the same connection details, and only the length of each member changes. The building sits on a hill like a stone sculpture, and new trees recall the forest that once covered the site.

Hill House Private Residence

Hill House

Hill House is a residential building with two low-energy housing units. A cantilevered structure and slender metal pilotis allow the units to rest on the ground at different heights. The two units share service areas on the ground floor and offer different ways of living. The dry construction uses natural and recyclable materials, including exposed coloured concrete, larch wood and pre-oxidised zinc-titanium sheet.

The Lake Art Gallery

The Lake Art

The Lake Art is an art gallery set on a lawn beside Xinglong Lake in Chengdu, China. The gallery replaces a small coffee shop and covers 600 square meters. Solid geometric volumes are cut and combined to shape a facade that recalls a stone sculpture, so the building is easy to recognize next to the natural scenery. The spatial forms refer to the mountains, trees and clouds of the city. A waterproof ceiling, designed as a geometric image of clouds, responds to the humid local climate. The interior is planned for art exhibitions and international cultural exchange.

Qianhai MCC Technology Building

Qianhai MCC Technology Building is a commercial and office complex in Shenzhen, China. The design separates a tall tower building from a lower podium building. 3G Home Residential House

3G Home

3G Home is a residential house in Singapore, redesigned as a multi generation family home. The OmniDirectional Internal Medicine Clinic

The OmniDirectional

The OmniDirectional is an internal medicine clinic located in a Japanese suburban town of Hyogo prefecture.
