Technology Inheritance

Technology Inheritance is an artificial intelligence tool that generates building exterior designs. The tool creates building appearances in different architectural styles from text entered by the user. Each image is produced in a few seconds, and the design can be changed by editing the text description. The system was built by collecting and labeling thousands of architectural renderings, then fine-tuning an existing image generation model with the new data set. The aim is to help beginners reach a professional level of quality.

Only Text is a generative design tool that creates interior design images from written descriptions. The tool is based on a diffusion model trained for professional interior design. More than 20,000 interior renderings were collected and labeled by designers to form the training data set. Only Text can produce an interior view in a few seconds, with a chosen decoration style and space attributes. Details are changed by editing the text and generating again. The method removes manual modeling and rendering, so many options can be shared with clients quickly.

Kinetic Chinese Characters

Kinetic Chinese Characters is a series of sixteen kinetic typography works based on the components of Chinese characters. Each work has a different subject and is produced purely through computer programming and algorithms, using Processing. The addition of generative technology makes the once fixed timeline of the characters variable and the results unpredictable. A short appreciation essay accompanies each work, following the Asian tradition of presenting poetry and painting together. The series shows how kinetic design can be applied to Chinese characters.
