The Rise of Japandi

The Rise of Japandi is a residential interior design completed in Hong Kong in 2019. The home joins Japanese and Nordic influences in a simple, modern and uncluttered layout. A wooden screen door with semi-translucent glass forms an airy partition, and a round opaque glass display cabinet recalls a traditional lantern. Curved edges and circular details soften the transition between spaces. Greenery outside acts as a calm backdrop.

Balance

Balance is a residential interior design for a home in Taipei, Taiwan. The living room and the library are joined without a barrier. The sofa and the desk are unified to gain space and to allow several uses. The television wall is made of deep gray natural slate, which contrasts with the warm wood surfaces. Cabinets act as partitions, adding storage and guiding circulation.

Autumn Rhythm

Autumn Rhythm is a residential interior design for a 109 square meter home in Taichung, Taiwan. The layout is planned for a retiring couple, and calm tones of gray and white give the rooms a restful character. The entrance combines hardwood and stone, while light and shadow recall a walk through autumn woods. Nano smart materials on the white cabinet doors in the living room repair surface scratches left by pets. A custom sofa was tailored in fabric and foam softness. Non-toxic paints, mite-proof screen windows and water filters support healthy living.
